Gaines County Emerges as Outbreak Epicenter
Gaines County, which serves as the outbreak epicenter, showed a rise in its reported measles cases, reaching 403, all while maintaining a stable population of 396 from the previous update, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services, as reported by Reuters.
New Mexico’s health department did not report any new measles cases in their most recent report. Many of the New Mexico cases originate from Lea County, which borders Texas’s Gaines County.
